“Hoama, the Divine Plant” is a series of ceramic sculptures that are created as part of a collaborative project “Life of Uterus” in dialogue with the works of two artist friends Khosro Berahmandi (painter) and Hadi Jamali (intermedia artist). The exhibition offers a contemplative environment that reveals a mythological world of Earth as nature’s womb that embraces death, shelters and nurtures it while granting it a new cycle of birth/life
The ceramic sculptures of Reihan in this project are a homage to Tree of Life and Simurgh, the Persian mythological bird that roosted in Gaokerena, the Hōm (Avestan Hoama) glorified in Yasna, hymns of Zarathushtra.
“Life of Uterus” project was supported by Canada Council for the Arts and was first exhibited as part of Accès Asie Festival at maison de la culture du Plateau- Mont Royal from May 5th to June 11th 2023,
