1=100 is part of the Togetherness project, a collaborative installation created by seven Montreal ceramists. Curated by Reihan Ebrahimi this project was created during the first year of the Covid pandemic as a platform for creating a playful dialogue. Taking the above poem as a point of departure, each ceramist drew inspiration from another group member’s work to reflect on the theme of togetherness.
The spheres have different forms. Some are smaller with holes, and some are broken or smashed. Some have cracks, and some have significant fractures. Despite their flaws and imperfection, they still hold the shape of a sphere and make a circle together.
